Yearbook Digital Archiving
We are in the process of digitizing each year of the Monticello for archival and research purposes. As of April 2012, we have digitized two yearbooks.
The process is labor intensive. Each page is scanned individually and is then optimized for Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The files are then saved in two file formats, a lower resolution searchable file and a higher resolution archival file.
Vendors
We are in need of additional vendors who can provide this service for the TJHS Historical Preservation Society. If you know of a vendor that can digitize each year of the Monticello for archival and research purposes, please contact us at contact@tjhshps.org.
Donations
If your graduating class would like to donate funds towards the Yearbook Digital Archiving project, the cost per yearbook is approximately $100 with our current vendor. Please visit the Donations page to make a contribution.
